This category of music is unlike others with its intense music drops, high energy and emotional buildups. Advancements in audio technology have also made the genre more popular. Modern software has made it easier for producers to create high-quality sounds that are atypical of most music genres. Additionally, DJs use of turntables, mixers and MIDI controllers allows for a more immersive live experience that works to captivate audiences. Digital audio workstations are also a key process in the development of this type of music. These software platforms allow for the composition of music to be produced, recorded, arranged and edited. Synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and effect processors are also key components of the process and crucial to the creatin of the genre.
