Christy Stewart and Glen Turner’s story “Joy and Wisdom in a Life with Animals”

This audio story is all about how their love for animals carried over to a love for people and a caring personality. The introduction has music playing in the background while the narrator describes the couple. The sound quality of this episode was good and almost sounded like listening to a podcast. The video has a medium pace where it is basically just like a conversation, it is calm and relaxing to listen to. They talk about the different animals that they have had and how that transferred over to a love for one another and for people as well. While they talk they sound crisp and inviting and are enjoyable to listen to. It sounds as though we are in the room with them and we are all just hanging out and talking with one another. At the end the music is upbeat and fun and makes you want to listen to more.

Ayanna Najuma’s story “On August 19, 1958, I Was Seven, An Oklahoma City Woman Remembers Being a Child Activist”

In this story, Najuma reflects on her time during the sit-ins and she discusses that even though it seemed like such a small thing at the time it would lead to bigger changes later on. During the introduction the music was very calm and nostalgic. The quality of the sound during this video was good it sounded as if it was a lecture or a ted talk about the experiences of Najuma. THe eneding music was more up beat and inspiring after she spoke about hte work she did to try and bring about change within society through her sit ins. The pace was somewhat slow which made it more dramatic and was good for telling this story from the past and allowed for greater emphasis.
