The pizza shop & The vendor

The first story is called “Hawaiian Father-Son Duo Recall Opening Their Pizza Shop”. The story begins without any introduction or prelude music. The dad, Chad Machado, begins the dialogue by talking about his son. He talks about how his son passed by in school and was not involved in extracurriculars. Xavier then shares his own perspective, talking about his love for food and how that eventually led them to open a pizza shop together. The dialogue is clear and they tend to interject one another in order to speak. The mood is constantly positive. As the dialogue is nearing a close, music starts to play to end it off. The music itself sounds tropical and helps to keep the positive mood of the story.

The second story, “The Baltimore Orioles Vendor Who Steals The Show,” also opens right away with dialogue from Clarence, a vendor at Orioles games. Rather than an interview style, the story feels more like a casual conversation between friends. The other vendor mostly talks in a way of admiration for his skill and approach to selling. The editing here is more precise than in the first story, with clearer cuts between the two speakers. The story wraps up with outro music, this time a hip-hop beat plays, matching the energy of the dialogue.

There is really only one stark contrast between the two stories. The difference is that in the first story, they interject into each other when talking, with no clear cuts between the two. In the second story the cuts between each others dialogue is clearer. Both stories begin with dialogue and end with music finishing out the stories.
