The standard for music production has progressed as time has passed. Despite this, music is still being produced and released at the same Hz, despite beliefs that it is not the most beneficial for health and enjoyment. Recently, music has been reconstructed from 440 Hz to 432 Hz and released as bootlegged songs on websites such as YouTube. With this, an audience of music connoisseurs has been birthed – one that is adamant that the majority is listening to music inncorrectly.
The concept of listening to music at 432 Hz is a relatively recent internet-based phenomenon. This practice has attracted listeners and musicians from all parts of the world, especially on YouTube where there is a plethora of content explaining it. Despite the common enjoyment among those pro-432 Hz, the individuals in this internet subculture do not always share the same musical tastes – rather having the common belief that music tuned to the standard pitch of A-440 Hz is “out of tune” with nature or humanity. Instead, they prefer and promote music that is tuned to a slightly lower, A-432 Hz standard.
This preference is popularly connected to the beliefs that the A-432 Hz tuning can be physically, psychologically, and even spiritually beneficial. Despite there not being hard research to back this claim up, the community assures the rest of the population that the claims are true. Whether they have any validity or not, there is no denying music at 432 Hz is incredibly appealing.
