For the post this month, I would like to share one of my favorite bands, Cigarettes after sex, and they are now on their world tour.
Cigarettes After Sex is from Texas, USA and consists of Greg Gonzalez on vocals, Phillip Tubbs on keyboards, Randy Miller on bass and Jacob Tomsky on drums.
Greg Gonzalez’s voice is always lazy and low, extremely recognizable, and the band’s overall style is also lazy and gentle. The black and white minimalist album cover is also their signature.
“I always consciously avoid the studio,” says Cigarettes After Sex lead singer Greg Gonzalez. “Recording in an open corner of the world always gives the album a different feel. The quality or atmosphere of the recording location is like an unknown factor that becomes a crucial part of the album’s emotional expression.
