We all know we need this phrase when life gives us problems or stress, you say Hakuna Matata means no worries. Almost everyone has seen The Lion King movie which in my opinion is one of the best Disney movies ever. For some people that haven’t watched Lion King before, this scene is right after Simba the lion goes through a traumatic time when he was young and he’s lonely, but some animals found him and took him in. He woke up scared and didn’t know where he was at so he had a lot of questions for Timon and Pumba and they both said Hakuna Matata. Some of the instruments played in this song give an upbeat to the song which makes it sound positive, uplifting, and catchy.
The instruments are guitar, timpani, guitar, piano, harp, trumpet, chorus, contralto saxophone, electric guitar, keyboard, and drum set. When I watched it, as a child I knew the songs by heart when they would come on, but this one stood out to me more because it was upbeat and positive. Now that I’m older and actually going through things in life that stress me out or worry me, I know what they actually meant by Hakuna Matata. Sometimes I would listen to the song to help uplift me and go on about my day. For those who haven’t watched it, please go and watch it, if not, Hakuna Matata!
