Story Corps Stories Liam Shaver

The first story I listened to was called Joy and Wisdom In A Life With Animals. This story depicts the life of Christy Stewart and Glenn Turner and all the animals they have accumulated over their time spent together inside the city limits of Atlanta Georgia. The audio sounds great. The introduction music sets up the first speaker Christy Stewart perfectly and then creates a great transition for Glenn to come in after her. There voices never over power each other and complement each other very well. Towards the end of the story as they speak about a baby deer they rescued their voices become subtle and there is an emphasis on the closing music which wraps of the story very well. This was a perfect first story for me to listen to because of all the elements it showcased and was my favorite one I listened to.

The second story I chose to listen to was called I am different and that is special. The introduction music is welcoming and inviting which prefaces the story perfectly. Luz Kenyon grew up in Mexico City took a trip to New York one day fell in love and never moved back. The audio as Luz begins to speak sounds great. Her accent is heard loud and clear and the volume sounds fantastic. The daughter of Luz voice also is articulated very well. There is no background noise, static, or other sounds that interrupt the audio. The main goal of the story is regardless of where you from or who you are we all deserved to be loved.
