For this week I decided to share an ear-worm that I would’ve never expected to have such a vice-grip on me. I do not listen to much house music by choice, but I am all about it in public places and when just hearing it casually at get-togethers and what-not. While Rap/Hip-Hop is my primary selection when opening my streaming platform of choice, this house remix of 2023’s “Sprinter” by Central Cee and Dave has gotten many plays in the last few weeks.
I initially heard this on an edit on Instagram, and really dug the the sound of Dave’s voice(Second voice heard )over a constant house mix, and is something I would never expected to work so well. Much more constant and rhythmic than original track. I like Dave much more than Central Cee on the original track and this version as well. Unfortunately Central Cee gets 70% of the lyrics. Just a nit-pick.
This got me down the rabbit hole, and I have found a plethora of rap songs turned house remixes over the past week or so. One in particular that stands out is a song you would never think would work well with the house sound.
This is Baby Keem’s Trademark USA turned house remix, and it is awesome.

I really have been enjoying these songs as often its combining more intricate verses with an upbeat flow that contrasts the initial song entirely. It is almost an entirely new listening experience when compared to the original track. I enjoy this remix of Trademark USA more than the original track.
